Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 12, 2026

Trust Love, Inc. ("Trust Love," "we," "us," or "our") is a technology and education platform — not a law firm. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our website at trustloveassist.com, the Family Portal at portal.trustloveassist.com, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you use the Platform — including our guided intake forms and the Family Portal — you may provide:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and date of birth
  • State of residence and home address
  • Family structure information (marital status, partner details, children, dependents, guardians, aging parents)
  • Healthcare information (blood type, allergies, medications, physician contacts, Non-Binding Healthcare Preferences, care wishes, organ donor status, medical power of attorney designations)
  • Financial information (bank accounts, credit cards, investments, retirement accounts, debts, bills, income sources)
  • Insurance information (life, health, auto, home, disability, umbrella, and other policies including carrier, policy number, coverage amounts, agents, and beneficiaries)
  • Property information (real estate, vehicles, storage units, business property, titles, deeds, mortgages)
  • Digital account information (email accounts, social media profiles, subscriptions, password storage locations)
  • Legal document information (will, trust, power of attorney, and other document existence and physical/digital locations)
  • Business information (entity names, structure, EIN, partners, succession plans)
  • Emergency contacts and professional contacts (attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, insurance agents, physicians)
  • Final wishes (burial/cremation preferences, memorial service wishes, religious/spiritual preferences)
  • Personal messages (letters to family members)
  • Uploaded documents (birth certificates, insurance cards, deeds, passports, and other files stored in your Family Folder)

This information is collected to populate your Family Portal — a secure, living record of your family's critical information — and to generate personalized organizational reports including Areas for Attorney Review.

Information Collected Through Plaid

If you choose to connect a bank account through the Platform, we use Plaid, Inc. ("Plaid") to securely access your financial information. Through Plaid, we may receive:

  • Account holder name and account identifiers
  • Account type, institution name, and account balances
  • Investment holdings and retirement account details
  • Liability information (loans, credit cards, mortgages)

Your bank login credentials are transmitted directly to Plaid and are never seen, accessed, or stored by Trust Love. Plaid's use of your information is governed by Plaid's Privacy Policy. You can disconnect your bank account at any time through the Platform or by contacting Plaid directly.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Platform, we may automatically collect:

  • Device type, browser type, and operating system
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third-party services used to operate the Platform, including our CRM platform, payment processor, authentication provider, and intake form provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Populate and maintain your Family Portal
  • Generate your personalized organizational reports, including Areas for Attorney Review and Family Protection Details
  • Enable Family Access Control — allowing you to share specific sections of your Portal with family members, executors, attorneys, and advisors at permission levels you define
  • Store documents you upload to your Family Folder
  • Connect your financial accounts through Plaid when you choose to do so
  • Provide built-in help and contextual guidance within the Portal
  • Send transactional communications (confirmations, invitations to family members you add, service updates)
  • Send promotional or educational communications (with your consent; you may opt out at any time)
  • Improve the Platform and develop new features
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With People You Explicitly Invite. When you use Family Access Control to invite a family member, executor, attorney, or advisor to view portions of your Portal, they will see only the sections and fields you have authorized for their permission level. Sensitive details (such as Social Security numbers and account numbers) are hidden by default. You control all permissions and may revoke access at any time.
  • With Service Providers. We use third-party services to operate the Platform, including Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, security, encrypted document storage on R2), Clerk (authentication and account management), GoHighLevel (CRM, email, SMS), Stripe (payment processing), JotForm (intake forms), Plaid (bank account connections), and Google Fonts (typography). These providers access personal information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
  • For Legal Compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers. If Trust Love is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Family Access Control and Shared Information

The Platform allows you to invite family members, executors, attorneys, and financial advisors to view portions of your Family Portal. When you invite someone:

  • You choose their permission level from predefined templates (Full Access, Emergency & Care, Estate & Financial, Financial Only, Wishes & Messages) or create a custom permission set
  • The invited person will see only the sections you authorize
  • Sensitive fields (Social Security numbers, account numbers) are hidden by default regardless of permission level
  • You may modify or revoke any person's access at any time
  • The invited person receives a Trust Love-branded email explaining what they will be able to see and how to access the Portal

You are solely responsible for deciding who to invite and what permission level to assign. Trust Love does not share your Portal information with anyone you have not explicitly invited.

5. SMS and Text Message Communications

Trust Love may send SMS text messages to phone numbers you provide, including:

  • Family Portal access confirmations and invitations
  • Service-related follow-ups and account notifications
  • Educational content related to family organization and estate readiness (with your consent)

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

6. Document Storage

The Family Folder feature allows you to upload and store documents within the Platform. Uploaded documents are:

  • Encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption on Cloudflare R2 storage
  • Encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Accessible only to you and any persons you explicitly invite through Family Access Control at a permission level that includes document access
  • Organized by category (Estate, Medical, Financial, Property, Identity, Insurance, Other)

You may delete uploaded documents at any time. If you cancel your subscription, you will have 30 days to download your documents before they are permanently deleted from our systems.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services you requested. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your Portal data for 30 days to allow you to reactivate or export your information. After 30 days, your data will be deleted or anonymized, unless retention is required by law. If you request immediate deletion of your data, we will process that request within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • AES-256 encryption for documents and sensitive data at rest
  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure authentication through Clerk with session management
  • Role-based access controls within the Platform
  • Cloudflare infrastructure for DDoS protection and edge security
  • Bank-level security through Plaid for financial connections (credentials never stored by Trust Love)

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on the Platform, maintain your authentication session, analyze usage patterns, and support our marketing efforts. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Platform, including the ability to remain logged into your account.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information and uploaded documents.
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of promotional communications at any time.
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format. You may also download and print your complete Family Portal record at any time from within the Platform.
  • Revoke Sharing: Revoke any family member's or advisor's access to your Portal at any time through Family Access Control.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] or call (240) 646-4766. We will respond within 30 days.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Trust Love does not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

11. Healthcare Information Disclaimer

Healthcare information collected through the Platform — including blood type, allergies, medications, physician contacts, and care preferences — is captured as Non-Binding Healthcare Preferences. This information does not constitute a legally binding Advance Directive, Living Will, or Healthcare Power of Attorney under any state's laws. It is intended as an organizational and informational resource for your family. Consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction to execute legally binding healthcare directives.

12. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 as account holders. The Platform does allow account holders to enter information about their minor children (names, dates of birth, schools, physicians, allergies, and guardian designations) as part of their family record. This information is entered by the parent or legal guardian and is subject to the same privacy protections as all other Portal data. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has independently created an account, we will promptly delete it.

13. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Plaid's connection interface. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform, updating the "Last Updated" date, and, where appropriate, sending a notification to the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
